About Us

Our experienced team of Medical Doctors at our skin cancer center have been serving the South Florida community since 1985. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of dermatological services. We ensure that each patient who visits our practice receives the personalized attention and care that he or she deserves. Our skin specialist doctors have extensive training and experience with diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin conditions.

At our skin cancer center, we provide expert clinical dermatology services and procedures for skin concerns in a brand new state of the art facility.

Kathryn Zeoli, MD

Kathryn Zeoli, MD

Dr. Zeoli has been practicing medicine and dermatologic surgery in South Florida for over 40 years. She received her Nursing and then Medical degrees from the University of Miami School of Medicine and trained in Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. She and her husband have 3 adult children and two grandsons. Dr. Zeoli is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery - limiting her practice to Dermatology and Skin Cancer Surgery. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Society of Cosmetic Surgery and is a Clinical Professor at the University of Miami Department of Dermatology.
Ron Ramirez, JD, MD

Ron Ramirez, JD, MD

Dr. Ramirez worked as an engineer and attorney prior to enrolling in medical school. He graduated medical school from American University of the Caribbean completing his medical training at Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island, New York.

He completed a Family Medicine Residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. While there, he served as the Chief Resident. He completed his Dermatology Training and Fellowship at The Centre for Cell Biology and Cutaneous Research, in the Blizzard Institute, Queen Mary University of London with distinction. He is the author of several dermatology publications. He has volunteered on medical mission trips to Honduras and Dominican Republic and the American Academy of Dermatology Summer Camps for Children with Severe Skin Disease. He has worked at our Skin Cancer Center for 9 years.

Susana Leal-Khouri, MD

Dr. Leal-Khouri trained in Surgery at Tufts University, Pathology at Brown and Harvard Universities, and Dermatology and Mohs Surgery at Washington University. She is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Miami and is the author of many articles and a surgical textbook. Married to Roger Khouri, MD, a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, they have 5 grown children!

Brian Bucalo, MD

Dr. Bucalo graduated as an Electrical Engineer from M.I.T. and attended the Univ. of Miami School of Medicine and Dermatology Residency. His Mohs and Cosmetic Dermatology Fellowship was done at UCLA. He was the Mohs surgeon and a clinical faculty member at the Cleveland Clinic for 8 years before joining our Skin Cancer Center 20+ years ago.

Dr. Haugen graduated from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Her Surgical Residency was completed at Brown University; her Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship was at the University of Miami. She is Board Certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Gutierrez was a practicing physician and surgeon in Cuba. When she came to Florida, she practiced Dermatology with Dr. Susana Khouri for many years before completing a Family Medicine Residency in Chicago and a Dermatology Fellowship at Queen Mary University of London. She limits her practice to Dermatology and has been with our Skin Cancer Center since 2008.
